The short subcontract can be used as a subcontract to NEC4 Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC4) and NEC4 Engineering and Construction Short Contract (ECSC4). It should be used with contracts which do not require sophisticated management techniques, comprise straightforward work and impose only low risks on both the contractor and the subcontractor.
