Training Structure:
Day 1: Fundamentals of Project Management and Scope Management
Introduction and Safety Culture
• Emphasis on safety using a zebra's instinctual awareness analogy.
Project, Portfolio, and Program Management
• Overview of distinctions between project (temporary), program (collection of
projects), and portfolio (group of projects/programs).
Project Management Principles and Life Cycle
• Covers initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure phases.
Key Knowledge Areas
• Scope, Resource, Cost, Procurement, Quality, Integration, Communications,
Schedule, Stakeholder, and Risk.
Collaborative Strategies
• Importance of collaboration for problem-solving and efficiency.
Scope Management
• Focus on defining, documenting, and controlling project scope with seven steps.
Stakeholder Engagement
• Identifying and aligning stakeholders with project objectives, ongoing engagement
cycle.
Scope Planning
• Planning projects to meet business objectives across different phases.
Collecting Requirements
• Documenting stakeholders' needs.
Defining Scope
• Creating detailed project descriptions.
Creating Work Breakdown Structure (WBS):
• Hierarchical decomposition of work scope into manageable components.
Project Scope Management:
• Importance of clear scope definition to prevent scope creep.
Training Deliverables:
• Stakeholder Engagement Plan, Project Scope Plan, Project Requirements Plan,
Scope Definition Plan, Project WBS, Risk Register, Contract Strategy.

 

Day 2: Integration, Risk, and Other Key Management Areas
Collaborative Strategies Revisited
• Reinforces the importance of people and relationships in project success.
Scope Validation and Control
• Validating project scope and controlling changes to the scope baseline.
Integration Management
• Coordinating all aspects of a project for seamless execution.
Risk Management
• Identifying, analysing, and mitigating project risks.
Schedule Management
• Planning and controlling project timelines.
Cost Management
• Estimating and controlling project costs.
Communication Management
• Ensuring effective communication strategies for stakeholders.
Collaborative Contracting
• Promoting risk allocation, early warnings, and collaboration over adversarial
approaches.
Change Management
• Managing project changes to ensure intended outcomes and mitigate risks.
Training Deliverables
• Developing and delivering plans for project scope, requirements, scope definition,
WBS, risk management, and commercial procurement.

Training Methodology

Assessment:
1. Pre-assessment: Completion before the training session.
2. Post-assessment: Completion after the training session.
3. Minimum pass mark: 80% in the post-assessment.

Certificate of Successful Completion will be issued upon achieving the minimum pass mark
in the post-assessment
