Currently there is a huge gap amongst technically qualified people having the relevant financial knowledge, not only in South Africa but worldwide.

The main objective of the course is to provide participants with some knowledge and tools in finance that will empower the individual to make sound engineering financial decisions.

This course is a one-day on-line course for Engineering Managers, Technical Managers, Engineers, Certificated Engineers, Technologists and Technicians from all disciplines.  This course is presented as an intermediate course to finance for those candidates that have some financial background and who would like to progress towards Engineering Finance (3).
This is an ideal course to transition into Engineering Finance - Advanced.
Please note that candidates attending this course must have some basic accounting knowledge or must have completed Engineering Finance - Beginner.

Synopsis of course:
The course covers 5 modules and is as follows:
1.      Financial risk analysis under uncertainty.
2.      Operational Budgeting (OPEX)
3.      Budgeted, applied and actual overheads.
4.      Introduction to Capital Finance and Capital Budgeting
5.      The use of financial statements (Cash flow, Balance sheet, Income statement)
